Last Friday I won one of the raffle drawings at my MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meeting. My prize: a JD-sized cowboy hat! He LOVES it and has barely taken it off since I gave it to him. We went to the 1st birthday party for our friend Ben Miller on Saturday and JD had to wear his new hat. They had a bouncy house at the party, but JD was not interested; he only wanted to play with the soccer ball! He has been really interested in soccer lately (Kristy, I know you are excited to hear this!) and I must say he has quite a good kick. There was a high school soccer coach at the party and he couldn't believe JD's kicking skills! He joked and offered to start training JD. And, I am sure that none of you are surprised to learn that he ate his entire gigantic cupcake. He had it all over him, but he was in chocolate heaven!
