After hearing some other brilliant moms talk about how well stickers work as motivation for their little ones, I decided to try it out with JD. Sure enough, he loves it and it works like a charm! I made a "JD's Big Boy" chart which includes 4 simple tasks: brushing his teeth, sitting on the potty, and helping me and Robert pick up his toys before naptime and bedtime. Once he gets so many stickers, he gets a surprise. It is amazing how enthusiastic he is about everything now! My intention was for JD to just sit on the potty so that he would get used to it, but lo and behold he actually used the potty once on Thursday and once Saturday! Yea! He is so proud of himself and, of course, we are very proud of him too!
