We have officially entered the organized sport world this spring...YMCA soccer! It is hysterical to watch. My dad calls it "grape soccer" because all the kids just run around in a big bunch and I cannot think of a more appropriate name for it!
JD is on the same team as Chase, and, as you will see in the photos below, they are so funny to watch together. JD was so excited to get a real uniform, but he was most excited to get real cleats just like baseball players wear. He wants to wear them every day!
His team is named the Yellow Jackets. They don't keep official score, which is probably good because they don't necessarily kick the ball into the right goal!
Oh, and by the way, JD informed us after his first game that "he liked soccer alright, but he really wanted to play baseball." This might be our first and last season on the soccer fields. but, it's been a great experience for all of us!
Below are pictures of JD's first practice and game.
We have officially lost interest in practice.
Soccer is SO funny!
Look! I can balance the ball on my head!
Chase is always the entertainer!
Somehow I don't think they're talking about their game strategy...
